My granddaughter wore these in my youngest daughter's wedding. Soon after the wedding I began painting.

About Me

I paint simple things, events, places and moments that I have observed and that give me joy.

Painting is like telling a story on canvas. I work mostly with oils because they are creamy and beautiful and blend or sit up on the canvas to reflect the light in unusual ways. I also dabble in Encaustic wax because it loosens me up, has surprising results and I get to play with a torch!

The rest of the story is that working from my creative side reaches into my heart and squeezes out all sorts of issues like pride, perfectionism, insecurity, and fear and brings them to light. I wrestle with God over all these emotions like Jacob with the Angel of the Lord and He always wins out, but then so do I as it brings me closer to Him. He is the original and ongoing Creator. I am merely working out being made in His image. And that is the ultimate story.

"The heavens declare the glory of God,
